About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and enquiries submitted through it. The website is operated by JK Pro Builders, trading as JK PRO Builders. You can contact us at jkprobuilders@gmail.com, on 07872 164 350, or at 58 Sydenham Road, Croydon, CR0 2FJ.
[If the operator is a registered company, insert its registered name, company number, place of registration and registered office. Include its VAT number where applicable.]
Please read these terms before using the website. If you do not agree to them, you should stop using it. Your use of the website does not by itself create a contract for building work.
Information about our services
The website describes our building and renovation services and shows examples of work or design ideas. The suitability of a service, materials, specification and achievable result depends on your property and the project agreed with you. Photographs and illustrations do not automatically form part of a project specification.
We take reasonable care to keep information accurate and current. If you notice an error, please let us know. Nothing in these terms removes the effect of information about our services that becomes legally binding because you relied on it when deciding to proceed.
Enquiries, visits and quotations
Please provide accurate contact details and a clear description of the work you require. If you act for the property owner or another organisation, please ensure you have their authority. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of an enquiry and is not acceptance of a booking or project.
We will discuss availability, access and any assessment needed before confirming a proposed scope and price. Initial quotations advertised as free are provided without a quotation charge or an obligation to proceed. Any separately chargeable specialist investigation or service will be explained and agreed with you before it is undertaken.
A quotation should identify the proposed work, exclusions, price, any applicable VAT and its validity period. Please check it and raise questions before accepting. A binding agreement arises when an offer is accepted in accordance with its terms; we normally record the agreed scope and conditions in writing. These website terms do not override the specific terms we agree for your project.
Project conditions and consumer rights
Before work begins, the relevant agreement should set out the scope, materials, responsibilities, price, payment stages, programme, changes, cancellation arrangements and any additional guarantee. Any changes to agreed work or charges must be agreed appropriately and must respect your legal rights.
Where statutory cancellation rights apply, we will provide the required information before the contract is made. If you ask for work to start during a cancellation period, we will explain any required request, charges and effect on your rights before starting. The position may depend on the type of building work and the circumstances in which the contract is made.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to reasonable care and skill. Any additional workmanship guarantee operates alongside your statutory rights. Any relevant guarantee terms should be supplied with the project agreement.
Acceptable website use
You may use the website to obtain information and make genuine enquiries. You must not use it unlawfully, send abusive or misleading messages, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with its operation. We may take reasonable steps to prevent misuse or protect the website and its users.
Website content and materials you provide
Website text, branding, photographs and other materials belong to JK PRO Builders or their respective owners or licensors. You may view the website and save reasonable copies for personal reference when considering our services. Other copying or commercial reuse requires permission unless the law permits it.
You retain rights in plans, photographs and other materials you provide. Please share only materials you are entitled to provide. You allow us to use them as reasonably needed to assess your enquiry and carry out agreed work. Sharing them with us does not, by itself, authorise their use in public marketing.
Other websites and availability
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content or privacy practices. Please review their terms before using them. Linking does not automatically mean we endorse that provider.
We aim to keep this website available, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, faults or other reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will always be error free. If a form does not work or an enquiry is urgent, please telephone or email us.
Responsibility for loss
We remain responsible for losses that the law makes us responsible for. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not remove your right to recover foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not use these website terms to limit our obligations under an agreed building contract.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. Please read it when submitting an enquiry. Contacting us or using this website does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Optional marketing choices are handled separately.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with the website or a service, please contact jkprobuilders@gmail.com with your name, contact details and a description of the issue. We will review it and respond appropriately. This process does not restrict your legal rights or prevent you from seeking independent advice.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these website terms and will show the update date on this page. Changes apply to future website use. They do not retrospectively change an existing project agreement without an appropriate agreement or legal basis.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer to rely on the law of, or bring proceedings in, another applicable jurisdiction. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as the law allows.
